Anna Winek

’The food you eat can be either the safest and most powerful form of medicine or the slowest form of poison’’  – Ann Wigmore.

Following 3 years of studies with clinical practice at the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) in London I qualified as a Nutritional Therapist.  I am a registered member of British Association for Applied Nutrition & Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and Complementary & Natural Health Care Council (CNHC) .

I enjoy working with female hormone-related issues such as PCOS and chronic digestive disorders like coeliac disease for example, guided by my personal experience with these.

However, I have been meeting clients with a wide range of health and lifestyle objectives. I have seen clients with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), various digestive issues, skin conditions, asthma, arthritis and female hormone dysregulation. I have also helped clients with weight and stress management and supported cancer patients.

My mission is to help you live a healthier life, filled with energy and free from painful symptoms.

My personal experience.

I was brought up on the principles of the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF) diet: fermented foods, raw milk, organic fruits and vegetables, walking barefoot by the river, foraging, outdoor activities and watching my cousins having their cupping done. Back in Poland where I originate, I started reading books on detoxification. I followed some of the cleansing programs and started juicing, inspired from The Gerson Therapy book. I think my interest grew from there. Eight years ago, when I moved to the UK, I started working in health food stores – which is how my nutrition and health journey started. I was continuously expanding my knowledge of nutrition, phyto-therapy, different types of foods and sports nutrition. I was extremely lucky to be able to attend various training courses and seminars provided by the company. My job became my passion and my lifestyle. I wanted to gain a professional qualification in order to help myself and support others with chronic diseases, having daily contact with customers seeking help for their various ailments and health conditions. Studying nutrition has been life changing for me. I look back at that time as being crucial in the development of the person that I am today. Who hasn’t heard Hippocrates’ famous quote about letting food be your medicine and your medicine be your food?

After making changes to my own diet and lifestyle the difference was incredible. My roots go back to Eastern Europe which is a home to fermented foods and beverages. I began exploring fermented foods as a way to address digestive health issues, I switched to a plant based diet and reaped the benefits when my coeliac disease and PCOS went into remission.

I hold several industry certificates, Nutritional Therapy Diploma accredited by Naturopathic Nutrition Association (NNA), Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP) and General Naturopathic Council (GNP) which is the professions council for Naturopathy in the UK. I continue with my professional development (CPDs) and I have been attending various courses, workshops, conferences and events to enhance my skills and become more proficient in my career.

I would like to share with you one of the testimonials provided by my client

‘’I met Anna over two years ago when I had recently been diagnosed with advanced non-Hodgkins lymphoma. I felt scared and lonely. By taking the time to speak to me, she changed my life and approach to my cancer. She gave me invaluable advice about the changes I should make to my diet, including juicing and sent me lots of information. She also referred me to specialised centres for advice and treatment including IV Vitamin C treatment. She is a kind, gentle person who genuinely cares about people’s health and goes out of her way to help them. To me, she is an angel sent from above to help me when I was at my lowest point. I really don’t know where I would be now if it wasn’t for Anna’s guidance. Thank you Anna, for everything.’’
